Seek Him
It’s the season of Easter–a time when our children think about the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, and LOTS of candy. But as we join in the fun, I pray we also consider the amazing gift bestowed upon us by Jesus on the cross. And we’re reminded that it’s not just the season for seeking candy and eggs, but the time to Seek Him.
The Season of Love
- Easter reminds us of God’s greatest gift to us.
- God loves us so much that He sent Jesus as a sacrifice for us.
- This love is so big, we can hardly comprehend the enormity of it.
- If we believe in this love, we are saved.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him (John 3:16-17, NIV*)
Seek Him
One response to this gift of love is to recognize the enormity of His gift. He has shown us the depth of His love. How can we return that love?
Love Him
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5)
Rejoice in Him
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. (1 Chronicles 16:10-11)
Praise Him
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. (Psalm 63:3-4)
Seek Him first
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given unto you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)
As we celebrate Spring–rebirth and renewal–Easter love–Christ’s love and sacrifice–I pray we will also seek and find a closer relationship with our Lord.
Wishing you peace, love, and blessings, my friends.
