We are loved

Sometimes it’s hard for us to recognize that we are special to God. Do we experience doubt that we are loved?

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning–the sixth day. (Genesis 1:31)

When God created this marvelous and amazing world–it was good, but when He created humans on the sixth day, it was very good.

We humans are God’s special creation.

For God so loves the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17)

An important part of wellness is knowing we are loved. While God doesn’t promise us life will be easy–He loves us through the trials, with a love greater than we can truly comprehend.

God loves us

  • We know that God created the human body with amazing abilities and characteristics.
  • God is with us through every situation.
  • We can feel secure and confident in God’s love for us.

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes who were too strong for me. They confront me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. (Psalm 18:16-1)

God delights in us. We are secure in His protection.

We are loved.

Our Father is with us on the journey to wellness. He is delighted when we strive to honor Him by taking care of our body–this beautiful and special part of His creation.

How does knowing God delights in you make you feel? When do you feel most loved by our Father?

Me, too, Sylvia. Sometimes I forget, especially when everything seems to be going wrong. I agree wholeheartedly, God’s love is “deeper and bigger than we can understand.” That’s what makes it so amazing. Wishing you blessings and much joy in the season.
